Monday - A wunderfull day

Hi everybody!

Today the weather was beautiful. The sun shined the hole day. In the morning we were at school. We had a little test, but it was so easy because we were outside the classroom and so we could speak to each other. :)
After school we ate lunch in town.
In the afternoon we met by the police station. We split our class in two groups. One group made a tour through Cambridge and the other group went to the War Museum in Duxfort. It was very interesting there. In the evening we went out a bit.

The hole class looks forward to the musical tomorrow. :)

Bye Bye

Many Greetings

Sunday - Our Free Day

Sunday(30.3.08)

Heyy everybody

This day was really wonderful because it was a free day :-P
So everyone did something else. There was a special offer: "Go punting with Mr. Beck". It was your decicion to go there or not, so the others did something else for example go out with friends.
I was just playing games in a internet cafe with some friends and this was really funny! XD
I think all the others had a great day too and now I have to say goodbye.

Have a nice day

Punting with Mr. Beck

Hello

Now is Sunday and we have a lot of funny the hole day.
We meet by the Kings College at two o'clock
and then we go punting. Mr. Beck is punting and
we are sitting in the boat and have fun.
After the punting I and Desiree go shopping
and I find earring for my grandmother.
Because she has birthday and I will bring
her something from Camebridge.

Great wishes from Sereina

Saturday - Our trip to London

On Saturday 29th March we started our trip to London at 8:45. A Mercedes Benz bus came and picked us up. The bus driver's name was Tony. He was very weird but we arrived in London. First we went to the Camdon Market and at 12:45 we've met again with Tony to drive futher into town. After we visited Madame Tussauds we drove with the subway to the Buckingham Palace. From there we walked along the way Mr. Beck marked on ur maps, so we've seen all the places that were worth to see (Big Ben, Tower Bridge, Piccadilly Cricus,..). Then we've met again with Tony and on the way back home he explained us some facts about some different buildings and places that we've driven by. Most of us were sleeping in the bus until we've arrived back home in Cambridge.

shopping

In the morning at 9 o' clock our school starts. The hole class looked forward to the weekend.
At 13.30 we met us by the police station to drive to a big shopping center.
But 6 people passed the time in Cambridge and went bowling with Mr. Beck.
In the shopping center we had 3 hours time to go shopping. But it wasn't enough time.
At 17.30 we drove back to Cambridge.
In the evening we went to a mexican restaurant with some friends from our class.

Warwick Castle

hello everybody
After having school in the morning, our teacher is "old" and shy, in the afternoon we went to see a castle - warwick calstle.
Directly after school we met in front of the police-station. luckily mr. beck brought some sandwiches, fruits and drinks, because we didn't have time to get food.
To get to Warwick-Castle it took us almost two hours to drive with Matt and his bus.

The castle seems to be an attraction, lots of people were there and there was much to see: how people lived, the arms, etc.
I think the castle is owned by Mme Tusseauds, so you can see some knights made from wax.

Now I'm tired, it was a long day and it is 20:25. good night.

First schoolday

I got up at 8am. After having breakfast we all went to school for the first time.We had a test so we know in which class we'll fit. Jack made a boring tour around Cambridge with us. After that we ate some lunch and went to the BBC studios which was pretty boring lady was just talking the whole time and showed us some rooms. Later some of us did their shopping and just had fun e.g. in a Starbucks café. In the evening we went to the Leisure Park that's about it.
Hope Mr. Beck is satisfied now. :D

Another day without a bike

Before we came here to Cambridge, we talked about different things like security, behaviour, bikes at school.
I told my students always to lock their bike properly to a fence. I told them also the "funny story" that happend to me last year:
In front of the police-station somebody, probably not a very clever one, locked his bike to mine - so I could not drive back home. A lovely policeman than cracked the locker and I could drive home.

And now guess what happend to me on Wednesday evening: a not very clever ... but this time there was no friendly policeman. And my students had a good laugh.
And believe me, the story is true.

A day with our bikes

Today Matt pick us up by our host family s. He took us to the train station. By the train station we rent our bikes. After that we drove to the Center of Cambridge for eating lunch. It is horrible to drive with the bikes on the left side. After the lunch we met us at the Kings college. We made a little sight seeing tour with Matt. Cambridge is a beautiful town. There are many good stores. :) We bought our British telephone cards in the city. The numbers you can see on http://www.schulen.li/zsj/schulseite/Aktuell/cam08/tel.htm . After that we drove back home to our host familiess and ate dinner with them.

Many greetings

A start without bicycles

As Kerstin and Luca said, we arrived in Cambridge: and there was some snow.
Matt droped us off at our host-families, and later we wanted to meet at the trainstation to rent the bikes. But the shop just closed although we had an appointment at that time ... !!!
So we had to cancel the "bicycleplan". Some students met in town and others just relaxed at home. We will try to rent the bikes tomorrow, and than we will have a closer look at the town.

The weather forecast says it will be cold but sunny.

Preparation

Preparation for Cambridge

Finally we are here in Cambridge. The flight was long. But before we went to England we had to prepare it. We had to organize money to pay the rest of the flight tickets and we had to get in contact with our host families. We also had to make a program for our stay in Cambridge. Furthermore we decided what to do in London. But now we finally made it.

Greetings from Cambridge,
Luca and Kerstin
